Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our district recently purchased Promethean Boards and while they have changed how I teach, they also come with some challenges, like how to use my laptop and wireless mouse and keyboard. A rolling, adjustable laptop desk will allow me to work from anywhere in my classroom so I can not only access the board, but help students at the same time. Our class library is also in need of major organization so the extra bookcase, barcode scanner, and library card system will allow me to create a real working library inside my classroom where students can check out books easily and I can keep track of our class inventory. The book titles are both high interest reads that have been requested by numerous students and would make great additions to our class library. The desktop heater will help keep students warm as they work at our group table. Our classroom can get very cold at times, and having heat will help students concentrate and be more comfortable.
