Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are so excited to have the opportunity to enjoy some new craft ideas, have the appropriate storage items so that when we finish the fun part of the day, we have adequate space to organize the materials for the next activity!
We love to build new things using our fingers and hands, but we also are learning about planning and organization.
These are skills that will carry us far in not only our education but in our lives as young adults and through life.
The students we serve have special needs and require parts of the crafts to be pre-made in order to help them be successful and have the time they need to have a finished craft. They become very excited and love all things new!
With the special needs comes the learning how to clean up after we are finished and put away the unused materials and supplies in an organized manner.
