My Students
My kindergarten students are always eager to learn, explore, and create. They know that in my classroom they are a part of a learning community that looks out for one another and that they are safe to make mistakes. They enjoy hands on experiences and having materials to use that they can call their own. They take pride in their work and always try their best.
My Project
The items in this project will be used to help organize the classroom and the student's materials. The small binders will be used to replace the morning binders I created last year that are now falling apart from so much use! The 1'' binders will be used for emergency sub plans and individual student interventions & data collection. The large binders will help organize my teacher examples of completed worksheets, art work, original copies, etc.
The drying rack will be used to ensure that the sit space in the front of the classroom remains open and with less distractions.
It will also protect the students art work from getting accidentally stepped on or smudged.
The pencil pouches will be used so that each individual student will have their own "math pack" which will keep all of their math manipulatives in one place. This will save time during math lessons as I will not have to count out individual counters, pass out dice, and/or any other math materials needed for the lesson. These math packs will also allow for quick transitions from one subject to the next.
The rainbow drawers will primarily be used to prepare for future lessons. I will pull items that need to be copied and sort them by subject into the smaller drawers. The large drawers will hold the copies that were made.
