Organized Classroom = More Productive Classroom in HS English

Help me give my students supplies to get organized in our classroom, like a magazine organizer to use as our turn-in area, some clipboards, and some magnetic clips to hang our makeup work and no name papers!

My Project

Throughout my ten years as a teacher, I have almost always taught three preps, meaning I never teach the same thing throughout the day--instead, I teach three different classes each day. I love that because it keeps me on my toes and ensures I'm never bored, but the challenging part is staying organized and on top of all the different things I need to plan, prep, grade, copy, and read to ensure I'm ready for class each day. That's where this project comes in!

I have a flexible seating classroom, which means some of our seating is things like floor chairs and saucer chairs; many students who choose these types of seats use clipboards to complete their assignments.

I have had my current clipboards for almost 10 years, and many of them are cracked or broken, so we definitely need replacements, plus a place to store them. The magazine holder will become our new turn-in area, so that each class’s work can be separated and easily found. The planner will allow me to plan for each of my 3 separate classes. I have a few magnetic clips currently, and I love using those to clip extras of our important handouts to the board, plus I put makeup work for any absent students there, too. I need some more of those, and it will be great to have different colors so that I can color-code by class period!

Please help me get prepared for year 11 teaching high school English by funding this project for essential organizational supplies!
