Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our kindergarten classroom needs more storage and stackable storage bins and tubs to help store my students’ daily supplies and materials. These bins/tubs will help organize supplemental materials, books, puzzles, and other classroom games and activities. It will also help me organize our massive reading curriculum.

By having items stored on shelves and in containers, they become easily accessible to both teachers and students.

This accessibility promotes independence among students as they can retrieve and put away materials themselves, fostering a sense of responsibility. For example, the bookshelf is a useful tool to help us stay organized and hold important manipulatives for Math and ELA times. I also need Cricut vinyl so I will be able to permanently label the bins for use throughout many school years.

The colorful will replace old containers that are worn out or broken and also hold our cards and smaller pieces of curriculum, such as sight word cards.
