Organized Case Conference Meetings

Help me give my students and parents an organized, inviting special education conference room to help with the meetings throughout the school year. This includes paper, computer mice, file folders, and other items.

My Students

My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges my students face is being included within the classroom because of their unique disabilities.

By providing opportunities to have all students be able to have access to diverse learning tools and more awareness for students with disabilities will allow success and confidence building for my students.

A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, other family members and friends' homes, and hotels/motels. These students and families may not have the financial freedoms to provide extra resources above and beyond what is in the classroom already. By helping provide students with resources that teach diversity and inclusion will help my students become more successful in the future. It will also help bring awareness to all learners with all different types of needs.

My Project

Throughout the school year there will be many case conferences that will involve parents, students, and teachers. By helping fund this grant, you will be able to help with organization and creating an inviting space for all parents, students, and teachers to have a conference over the child's best needs.

Students with special needs require a meeting once a year with all teachers and parents.

This meeting is important with making the decisions that will impact the services each child will receive during the school day to help ensure they are provided opportunities to learn in the general education classroom and be successful.

Colored paper and file folders will help allow organization of the paperwork required for each student and cups and wireless devices will help create an inviting environment for the parents and teachers to have the best communication for each child.
