My Students

My eighteen pre-kindergarten students are the most amazing little boys and girls in the world! I have the awesome privilege to teach nine boys and nine girls who come to school each day, bright-eyed and ready to learn. These students are so smart and eager to learn despite the socio-economic challenges they face every day.

These adorable pre-k children come from a rural area with a high poverty rate, but they refuse to let this be a barrier to their future success.

They come in each morning with many questions about what information we will be learning and how we will be learning it. They see the sky as the limit to their learning and I refuse to let anything hinder this positive outlook.

My Project

PreK is a time to learn how to be independent. Proper organization is an absolute must when teaching the children how to take care of supplies and materials in the classroom. The owl print canvas baskets will help my students keep rest time and reading "buddies" on their appropriate shelf. The laundry basket will enable the students to have an easy to clean location for their lunchboxes (because we all know those things can make a mess).

The tape, canvases, and wire mesh organization stand will enable my students to be creative in an organized and neat manner at art center.
