My Students

My students are fourth grade sponges, soaking up new experiences and new learning in exciting ways. Active learning in math, reading, science, and social studies means students who are happy and engaged.

My students love math and reading, and they support each other through struggles as well as celebrate each other's growth.

It's amazing to watch this happen. They love to share new things they're learning with each other and with any adult who comes into our room.

My Project

Due to new rules for health and safety related to COVID-19, I needed to rethink set up and storage. Students cannot share materials, and they must stay in their desk area while working in class. Shared pencils and comingling of journals will not longer work.

Students need quick access to their math and writing journals, and the chair pockets will make that happen!

The pencil clips will keep a writing utensil close by as well! No need to keep journals in the back of the room because of overcrowded desks. No need to search for a pencil each day. Students will have journals and pencils at their fingertips.
