I strive to have an organized classroom with teacher and student materials readily available and accessible. I have systems in place for storing student materials that they are able to access independently. Each table group has a table helper for the week and they are responsible for getting materials for their group when needed. Everything is stored in color-coded bins so students know which materials belong to their group.
We are needing to replenish some of our everyday classroom supplies to get us through the end of the school year.
Dry-erase markers and glue sticks will support our daily interactive writing, art, and math lessons. Another set of clipboards will allow us to have a full class set for use during our write and count the room activities when students need a hard surface to write on as they work around the classroom. Dice, UNO, Guess Who?, and fine motor letter clips will be great additions to our math and reading small group instruction.
The storage bins will be used to organize and store our read alouds, crafts, and write/count the room materials by month so they are easily accessible. Each bin will be labeled with the month and a matching visual. This will make it easier to find master copies and examples for the month and make prepping the materials quicker.
