This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a group of amazing students in a moderate to severe 3rd-5th grade special education class. My students are curious, creative, and eager to learn, but they require additional support and structure to thrive. Each of them brings a unique perspective to our classroom, and their determination to overcome challenges inspires me every day.
The resources I am requesting will have a significant impact on their learning and overall classroom experience.
The book bins will help us create an organized and accessible library, making it easier for students to find and manage books independently. This fosters their reading skills and encourages a love of literature. Snacks will provide nourishment, ensuring my students stay energized and focused throughout the day. Gloves will support art and sensory activities, allowing students to engage without hesitation. Finally, paintbrush organizers will keep our art supplies tidy and accessible, promoting creativity while teaching responsibility and organizational skills.
The goal of this project is to create a classroom environment where my students feel supported, engaged, and empowered to explore their potential. These resources will contribute to a more structured and nurturing space, enabling them to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
What makes my students special is their resilience and eagerness to learn, even in the face of challenges. They thrive in an environment that celebrates their strengths and provides the tools they need to succeed.
