This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom, the key to success begins with good organizational skills. Students quickly learn this lesson as they fall into daily routines, developing structure every day. One of the most crucial routines includes retrieving and returning their class binders. Each student is given a binder (and binder dividers) to keep all of their work in. They are encouraged to organize it in whichever way seems most logical to them, thereby giving them ownership of this tool.
Besides providing essential classroom supplies, this project supports making assessments a smooth process.
During exams, students must turn their electronic devices. They typically place them in ziplocks before handing them in for safekeeping. Often, students become hesitant to turn their devices since they barely fit in ziplocks. Therefore, the clear bags from this project will provide a secure container for their devices during assessments.
