My Students

I am blessed to teach an incredibly diverse group of young learners! My school is a Title I school made up of approximately 40% refugees from over 19 different countries.

My mix of 4th graders come from all over; Thailand, Burma, Malaysia, The Congo, Mexico, Nigeria and more!

I am so honored to be able to work with this diverse group of kiddos, many who are learning English. Despite overcoming many adversities, they amaze me every day with their eagerness to learn, great attitudes and willingness to take on challenges when given the proper tools to succeed.

My Project

A classroom that is an organized environment is incredibly important for young learners.

Not only will having a classroom with organized materials create a calming environment conducive to student learning, but it will also help students find and use materials easily.

These bins will be used to house all of our math and science manipulatives. They will be labeled and organized by how they should be used. Students will be able to easily grab and use what they need and then put materials back where they belong just as quickly and easily.
