My students need organizational tools such as colored pens, tabs and hole puncher to help them get, stay and maintain organization. When students can take time to organize materials, it helps them focus on learning.
The students are part of a large comprehensive urban school district that is uniquely diverse and growing at a rapid pace!
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and oftentimes have schedules that are overbooked due to a variety of factors which include multiple classes, extra-curricular activities, volunteering and part-time employment that leave them feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
Students want to succeed but oftentimes need additional support during the school day to help get them from start to finish to maintain balance and organization.
My Project
My project is all geared to helping students organize. This will make a difference in their academic endeavors because they will feel more confident spending time on academic coursework and not feel overwhelmed.
They will use the pens, whole puncher and organizational tools to maintain a clean, organized binder.
This will help students' learning and confidence because they will increase focus on content. This will help them be more effective in the classroom to maintain focus, prepare material to study and help one another learn. These organizational tools will assist students in maintaining a routine they can utilize in other classes as well.
