This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over the last couple school year my students have been greatly affected by COVID. About half of my students are starting the school year in first grade lacking mastery in foundational skills such as letter names and sounds, and number recognition.

My students are beyond special, though they know they lack these skills they are hard working individuals.

There is nothing they are not willing to try. My present class is the most attentive class I have yet to work with.

I want to make sure they learn foundational skills, like organization, to facilitate their acquisition of foundational academic skills.
