My students need a paper organizer to store their completed work, notices home, and Friday folder, which contains their homework and communications with parents.
Do you remember what it was like to be a 2nd grader? To still love school and to take pride in your work. My students love schools, and they like to have an organized classroom.
My students are 40% second language.
They come from model homes, broken homes, disadvantaged homes, and the entire gamut in between. They love school and find it a place to feel safe and to learn! Our school is a middle range school. We do not receive a lot of monetary support from parents and have a modest PTA, so we teachers need to be resourceful to find a way to supply our classrooms.
My Project
My current paper sorter for my students is about 30 years old. It has the 1970's look to it, is cardboard, and is completely falling apart. This paper sorter will last my entire career as a teacher and will give my students a place to store their finished work, notices home, and communication from myself and the school to their parents.
This paper sorter is a very important component in a classroom.
It is the only place to store papers so that I as their teacher can make sure they make it home, and to keep them from cluttering up their desks. The one I have currently is very old and falling apart. These paper sorters are very expensive and not something the school will purchase for me or that I can afford individually. Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom!
