Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into my classroom every day full of energy, ready to learn math, and excited for what is in store for them that day. In my classroom, we strive for excellence and do our best to stay positive and stay focus.
I teach at a Title I school in Houston, Texas where more than 90% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students are coming from broken homes, where coming to school is something they look forward to. Many of my students were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want a better future and a chance to attend college.
My Project
My students need whiteboards to practice concepts throughout the year in workstations and guided practice. The storage bins will also help keep math workstations neat and organized. My students enjoy math workstations and having them organized will benefit their learning in class.
