Organizational Tools to Enhance 2nd Grade Classroom!

My Project

I am a 2nd career, 2nd year, 2nd grade teacher, who loves creating an environment where my kiddos learn, grow, and feel loved. While they are learning all of the second grade things, I am learning how to curate an environment that best supports them. Our school has 3 sections of second grade. Next year, I will be teaching our grade level inclusion classroom, meaning I will have some kiddos with IEPs and 504 plans. Our current inclusion classroom is phenomenal, and organized in a way that sets every student up for success.

It's no secret kids thrive with routine and structure.

The materials I have included in this project will help ensure everything my students need to be successful is accessible and has a home.

The 20 drawer storage unit will be placed in the back of the room, creating a cozy corner for our library, and providing easy access to the independent and collaborative working areas. Having the manipulatives and materials accessible and organized will foster an independence and confidence in my students that will be beneficial.
