This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you for considering a donation to my special education classroom where our students are preparing to be future ready!

We are an AVID school with a focus on supporting students to be future ready!

One of the ways we do that is through organization. Around 80% of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch. In addition, about 12% our school population receives special education support. About three-fourths of our students are second language learners, with Spanish being their native language. Currently more than half of the students I work with have an attention challenge, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, generalized Anxiety, or have experienced trauma.

This shopping list was created with my students in mind: book bins to organize their materials, sticky notes to use on their books and notes to organize their thoughts, and index cards to organize new information. These are supplies that we go through quickly, so they much needed! Your donation is greatly appreciated!
