Organizational Skills to the Rescue

My Project

My students are all multilingual learners. The majority of them come from multi family low income households. They do not come to class with basic school supplies and lack organizational skills. Several have only a folder or school issued computer case that they store work for all classes in.

Giving these students a place to keep and organize their materials for ESL class will provide them with the organizational skills they need as well as a language resource they can use to assist them in other classes.

Without these organizational skills and materials these students are consistently losing their work and receiving zeros for their assignments. In ESL class we learn the English they need to help them be successful in other classes. Having a well organized notebook for ESL will give them resources that will help them in their other classes.
