Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher that greatly enjoys teaching students with special needs. Some of my students struggle academically, some socially, while some of them struggle in both areas. They are caring for students that need just need some supports in place to meet with great success.

Most of my students struggle with organization.

Their lack of organization, which may be due to special needs issues, should not get in the way of their learning. One of the students that will benefit from the seat sacks was the one that actually said that seat sacks would help him.

My Project

Help students that have struggles in the area of organization. Seat sacks within the classroom helps facilitate their organizational skills. If they are better organized, it frees them up to be more open to learning and making growth. These seat sacks will be used for students with Autism to students that just may need that little extra support to meet with success. Organizational skills are a necessary skill that children will use as they continue their education. The skills that they learn will eventually be applied as adults in the working world.
