Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are committed as a community to work together to provide the best learning environment for our students. My classroom has 22 students of varying learning modalities and backgrounds and contains students with and without disabilities.
Our students come from a low-socio economic background; therefore, they appreciate reading more chapter books/picture books and benefit from our created classroom library.
However, our versatile learners, a majority of the time, struggle to find their personal favorite books easily and waste more time in finding a book that brings interest to them. Therefore, our students would significantly benefit from these organizational book bins that can help to level each book bin by labeling by reading level/topics and organize our chapter books/picture books in our classroom library.
Students and teachers would significantly benefit when our classroom library will be organized using these book bins as these would help to easily find books to read for students during independent reading/partner reading sessions and picking books for homework assignments (reading logs). These organizational book bins for my classroom library would encourage all of my students with and without disabilities to read as well as to expose themselves to more literature.
