My Project

At our K-8 school, our PE equipment is heavily used and often faces wear and tear. With limited storage space, moving equipment around safely and effectively is a challenge. Our budget doesn't allow for frequent replacement of damaged items, making the requested items crucial for our PE program.

The supply cart and storage bags will be used daily by teachers and students to organize and transport balls, hula hoops, jump ropes, and other PE essentials.

Having a designated spot for students to collect and return items during lessons will enhance safety and efficiency.

For instance, during station rotations, we use various equipment like basketballs, rackets, hula hoops, jump ropes, and scooters. Currently, we lack an effective way to transport and store these items. A storage cart will enable students to safely move and store equipment during these rotations.

A designated storage solution will simplify organization and reduce the risk of damage. The wheeled cart will make it easier to access and move equipment, significantly improving the day-to-day experience for both students and teachers.

Additionally, the multi-use net will replace our old, broken setup and allow us to introduce pickleball in the gym, a sport we previously couldn't teach due to lack of supplies. Students will be thrilled to learn this new sport.

Students will benefit from the new equipment and storage solutions. During a typical PE lesson, students will participate in station rotations, engaging in activities such as basketball, jump rope, and hula hooping. The supply cart will make it easy for students to access and return equipment, promoting responsibility and organization.

A specific lesson plan could involve teaching students the basics of pickleball, enhancing their physical skills and encouraging a love for physical activity.
