My Students

My students come from a low socio-economic status. My classroom has just increased from 15 students to 23 students. My classroom is small and does not provide adequate space to store students bookbags and belongings. My students need a space to keep their materials at their seat organized. My students use folders, composition notebooks, glue, scissors, and pencils daily and have no place to store or keep them organized and easily accessible. My students need to learn organizational skills to help them be successful in other grades and through life.

My Project

My students need organizational skills that will stay with them throughout their lives. My students do not have a place to store their classroom materials at their seat. Their desks get cluttered and it is hard to find what they need. My students need organizational chair pockets that will help teach them to be organized and neat. By using these chair pockets, my students will be able to find their materials easily which will help them to ultimately stay on task. Our school recently got new desks and chairs, but they have no storage for student materials. Having chair pockets for the chairs will help solve this problem!
