Who doesn't love to sit on a comfy bean bag when reading a really good book? When looking for a book in the library, isn't it easier to find what you are looking for when all of the books are organized and easy to see? That is why I am asking for these new items to be purchased for my classroom.
My class is full of a group of eager to learn, energetic, bright, happy and enjoyable second graders.
They absolutely LOVE to read and look for any opportunity to pull out a book and get lost in a new adventure. By having a new book case, I will be able to set up a functional lending library. It will make it easier for students to locate the book of their choice and return it when they are done.
By adding bean bags to our library space, students will have a comfortable and inviting place to read during the day.
My Project
By having the bright bean bags in our classroom, students will have another reason to look forward to our quiet reading time. With a new functional library, my students will learn important book borrowing skills. They will have opportunities to check out their books like they would in a real library. They will also learn how to monitor and manage the library on their own, helping them to become more independent and responsible.
We already have the books we need to build a great lending library.
Now we just need some of the furniture that will improve our library space by making it more comfortable and organized. By donating to this project, you are helping to make our classroom just a little better!
