My Project
With September approaching, it's time to get in gear for the New Year so that students can engineer. The STEM program at my school is continuing to expand. And with this expanding, we will have more materials and student materials to store and keep organized. As the STEM specials teacher at our school, I am responsible for maintaining and keeping all materials organized. I see over 200 students a week! I have to go through various materials, notebooks, and folders to ensure everything is running smooth sailing. Organization is a huge part of being a teacher and a good student. The STEM room is in need of many bins to house the incoming materials and student materials such as notebooks and folders. My students are eager to learn and have a blast coming to the STEM lab. I want to ensure that they continue to have fun all while storing their scientific materials safely.
The requested materials here will support student organization and keep the STEM room easy to navigate and quickly which ensures most of our time is spent learning.
My goal for this is to have somewhere to put student materials and have a student take charge of those bins. For example, each class would have one student who monitors STEM notebooks. This role entails them giving out the notebooks, collecting it, and returning it to the correct bin. The Lakeshore Learning bins are very sturdy and can last many years. Additionally, they do not take up much space. These will be great for the students to keep their work tidy. Each class would receive their own bin. My hope is to keep everything more organized so that we spend more time building, tinkering, and exploring in various science experiments/projects. With your support, this will be possible.
