My Students
I work in a Title I elementary school in a diverse neighborhood. Our students and teachers love our family atmosphere and we are always striving to be our best.
Our school and neighborhood were hit hard by Harvey and we're still recovering.
We have construction going on inside our school on a daily basis, yet the teachers and students continue to smile and focus on learning.
Many of our students had damage from Harvey and they go home to more construction every day. Their parents are still focused on recovering so they are not able to get much help at home. Our teachers are doing everything they can to help kids succeed during a challenging situation.
My Project
Our school is being renovated due to the flooding after Hurricane Harvey. We are working on getting all of our materials organized in order to have a more effective learning environment. The file folders and labels will be used to organize our math worksheets and assessments. The binders will be used to organize our math activities by grade levels. Each grade level will have a binder for each 9 weeks full of math activities. We meet weekly to discuss our math curriculum and instruction. These binders will be used in the weekly meetings in order to keep all of the teachers organized.
