This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I are so lucky to have a new math curriculum this school year. Each lesson gives students practice problems that are centered around a career, helping students see the real-world application of math. So far this year we have added ingredients while being a barista, used place value while being meteorologists, found unknowns in equations while working at a pet hotel, and more! The students are given work mats, manipulatives, task cards, and worksheets to keep learning hands-on and engaging.

It is so exciting to have these new things, but it is a lot to keep organized and keep looking nice for future students in the years to come.

When you donate to this project I will get the laminating sheets I need to protect our work mats for several years. The storage bins will help keep the pieces for each lesson organized so that nothing gets lost. With your help, this curriculum will last us years and impact hundreds of students!
