My Project
In preparing for the new school year a goal I have for my students is being as organized as possible. This project will provide them with many basic supplies to get us started on the right foot as well as a few things to make the environment inviting and fun to promote a love of learning.
We are going to be working on making sure everyone starts with the supplies that they need like pencils, folders, erasers, a clipboard for working around the room, and a dry erase pouch to turn in work.
With an increase in student numbers we also need more cubbies so that students each have their own space to store materials. With that increase, the current work turn in routine doesn’t work so we will be using the wall baskets for a turn in and returned work system. We also have a lot of math manipulatives that are difficult to get to with our current storage method so we would like a couple of bookshelves so that we can organize those items using the plastic bins and zip bags. This will make those items more easily accessible for lessons and during independent work if a student needs to access them.
We have been granted a few items through earlier projects that need a few more things such as screen proctors and stylus for our iPads we will use for data tracking. We are also in need of some adhesive hooks to hold up our calculator storage and the work turn in bins.
Lastly we would like a few items to improve our classroom environment. The echo, pointers, clicker, magnets, and light covers will add to the atmosphere and efficiency of our classroom lessons and work displays.
