My students need organization materials, such as pocket charts, and pocket chart storage, portfolios, and 25 pencil boxes.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to arrive at school and only then remember that you forgot your homework? Or to look inside your desk and not be able to find your pencils or crayons?

Many of my students often arrive at school without their homework or other important items.

How can your work be graded if you can't turn it in? Even though I can't check every student for everything, organization is one battle that I can help my students win. By helping my students with their organizational skills, I am teaching them responsibility and skills that they can use for life.

My Project

I am requesting 8-pocket folders and pencil boxes for each of my students. Teaching them to put their materials in specific places will help them to remember to bring the appropriate materials to class each day. I am also requesting several organizers for in the classroom that will make storing student work and passing out important papers easier for everyone.

Why is this project so important?

Many special needs students have problems remembering. If the students are not organized, they will not remember needed materials. By keeping my students organized, I am increasing their chances for success. After all, how can homework be done if the students don't remember to take it home?
