Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of thirty-two 5th grade students who are so excited to be back at school in person. They all come from a low-income community and their school receives free school lunch. They all have different backgrounds, learning styles, and interests.

My students are awesome.

They are working hard and I want them to have the best education possible and to have fun learning. Many students are below grade level due to many factors. As a hardworking teacher who wants nothing but the best for my students, I am reaching out for your support.

My Project

My students are eager to learn, however organization is not their strongest point. Having a year and a half spent at home meant they were not required to carry items back and forth to school nor keep a desk area tidy as it is shared with their peers.

Help me help my students get organized so that they are ready to learn at any time!

I have requested book bins to keep our supplies in so that we do not have distractions at our desks. The binder with tabs and sheet protectors will help my students keep their materials organized and group like items together. Organization is a valuable skill that they can use at anytime long after they leave my classroom.
