My students need pencils, tape, and other supplies for our school year in order to focus solely on their learning. If materials are provided for them, they focus on learning rather than their lack of supplies.

My Students

My students are really special to me for many reasons. One of the most exciting things about this year is that I looped with my students from sixth grade to seventh grade this year. I was able to teach these same students in sixth grade and now in seventh. I have built the most amazing relationships with my students.

I know my students learning style and that learning by doing is essential for them because it is so highly motivating.

Unfortunately, most of the enriching experiences my students encounter are within the school walls because my students live in high poverty situations.

My students deserve to learn in the best way possible and that is by making real world connections!

My Project

The supplies listed on this project are essential in order to create a relaxed, focused, successful learning environment for my students. These supplies will allow my students to participate in thought-provoking STEAM projects. These projects will provide my students with real-world problem, based challenges that will ultimately increase their knowledge bases. If these supplies are provided for them, my students will not have to worry whether or not their learning will be effected by the supplies they have. These supplies will be used in STEAM projects that we complete throughout the entire school year.

The majority of my students come from low income homes; as their teacher, I try very hard to provide effective learning experiences and materials for them as they work hard to succeed!

When supplies like these are provided for them, neither my students or myself have to worry about learning outcomes. I truly believe with all of my heart that if you work to set a student up for success, they are more likely to become young adults who give back to communities and are productive, strong members of our world. These knowledge bases start somewhere and I consider it a blessing and am hopeful that my classroom is one of these places! To give them a cohesive, comfortable, safe learning environment is my absolute goal! Every child deserves the right to learn and I love watching them grow as students and as people throughout each school year.
