My Students

I teach at a low-income charter school. All of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch. We are only in our second year of existence, therefore we are still trying to get everything we need to be successful. My students come from all different surrounding towns to make up our school. Some ride the bus almost an hour to make it to school. This is my first year teaching at this school and I'm starting from scratch.

I want my students to be eager learners and to be excited to learn new things each day!!

Every child that walks in my classroom is very special to me and I only want what’s best for them.

My Project

I'm starting from scratch in my classroom and I don't have any storage. I plan to use the cart for my students' materials. Each student will have a drawer of their own to keep all their materials in one place. We will have student workbooks and interactive notebooks. Having drawers will make our classroom move more effectively. The cubeicals will hold all of our library books and materials we will use daily. My grade is departmentalized and I believe having organization in the classroom will lighten the load of my students and will give them more time engaging in a lesson than struggling to find what they need.
