My students need The Safco Organizer to store their personal folders, and organize handouts and graded papers, 3-drawer containers each table and 10-drawer organizers for center/station supplies as well as a hanging file organizer.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a highly impoverished urban community. Most students arrive at school without supplies, clean clothes, or breakfast. Despite these struggles, my students still come to school looking to learn.

My goal is to create a classroom environment in which they feel safe and welcome.

A clean and organized classroom will be a contrast to the homes where many of the students live. Without mess and clutter, students can focus on their work.

Due to the high poverty rate of the district, teachers are not given a budget to order supplies for our classrooms. I purchase many items with my own money, as do so many teachers around the country.

My Project

Last year's biggest struggle was classroom organization.

My students need a personal space to receive papers and store their folders.

That is why the cubby station will be so helpful. This will also serve as our command center where they receive handouts, homework, and graded papers.

My students need help organizing their table supplies. The 3-drawer containers will help with phonics journals, learning passports, and writing journals for each class.

The 10-drawer organizers will help keep station/center supplies neat and accessible.

The hanging file folder holder will help the teacher remain organized for lesson planning, and PPT meetings so the days can run smoothly.
