This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is filled with eager-minded first and second grade students. So many of my students show pride over their materials, whether it be making sure their glue stick stays clean, or that their pencil is sharp and ready for learning. The materials I am requesting will continue to allow students to show leadership and ownership over their school work and the organization of their materials.
A turn-in-your-work organizer, name tags, and pencil boxes will allow my students to keep our classroom organized in a functional way and allow a place for students to store their precious belongings and school work.
I believe that each of these materials will allow my students to keep our classroom neat and organized. Students will take pride in keeping their materials inside of their pencil box safe and ready to be used when needed. The name tags will let students show ownership of their desk with that tidy pencil box inside. A turn-in-your-work organizer will be helpful for students to always know where they should be turning in their assignments, instead of just in scattered boxes. All of these materials allow students to demonstrate ownership and pride over their belongings.
