This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are full of energy and eager to learn. They love hands on activities and like to be on the move. We are in desperate need of more sustainable resources that will last from year to year.

My students come from a community where education is clearly valued.

While they want to learn more about the world around them and are eager to learn, they lack some of the resources to be able to successfully do this!

My Project

With the new science standards students are creating a variety of models about a variety of different topics. Middle School students want and need to have materials readily available at their desks instead of constantly moving in lab environment. They need something to help organize some of these basic materials on an everyday basis.

Students also want to have neat and organized written work and they need good quality rulers to be able to do that.

Since students are creating charts and graphs from their data, they need rulers to make straight lines. These rulers will be used for these purposes from year to year and will last longer than the plastic ones we are currently using.
