My Students

My students are between the ages of two and three and have many different disabilities and needs, such as autism, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, blindness, and emotional and physical challenges. I also have a few typically developing students that serve as peer models for language and socialization.

My students come from culturally diverse families, and many have socioeconomic challenges as well.

My school is a Title I school and we have a large population of children with special needs and English Language Learners.

My Project

I am requesting a collapsible wagon, small bookcases, and a few organizational bins. As you know, we are in the middle of a global pandemic.

My students and their families have needs that go beyond the preschool classroom and curriculum.

Since the school year began, I have collected clothes, diapers, wipes, food, toiletries, and other necessities as needed for my students. One of the biggest challenges of gathering these materials is having the ability to transport and store them. I have a small office space which sometimes is overflowing with items and materials for my students.

I need a collapsible wagon to help transport items, small bookcases and some bins to organize items and collapsible bookcases for when items begin to overflow. I know these are unprecedented times, and the needs of my students are as unique as ever. I am doing as much as I can to help support these needs, but I need assistance in making that happen.
