Kindergartners come into school so eager to learn every day. For a lot of my students, this is their first time in a classroom setting. I want to help my students reach their highest potential in my classroom by creating an organized environment that fosters independence.
My students will be learning so many new skills this year, both academically and socially.
Creating a positive learning experience for these students will transfer into their feelings about school for years to come.
My Project
My Kindergarteners are becoming independent learners, especially during our literacy and math centers. I would like to provide my students with the organizational tools they need in order to be successful. The Read Along Storage Unit would be perfect for our Listening Center because students will be able to find their books and headphones, without everything getting tangled up. They can also use the Lap Trays as a way to write while they are sitting on the carpet. The Storage Containers and File Organizer would help my students build their independence as well because they will be able to easily access materials and put them away when they are finished. These are tools that will promote a safe and organized learning environment, while encouraging students to build independence.
