My sixth grade students attend our regional middle school in a rural location. It is their first year meeting new classmates, many of whom have come from other elementary schools around our district.
My students come from a variety of different towns, families, backgrounds, and ability levels.
When they enter my classroom, however, ALL students become mathematicians who focus on doing their best and becoming more confident as learners.
Our goals are to support each other, become better problem solvers, and have a successful first year of middle school!
My Project
Our goal in our math classroom is to make math accessible to every single student. This can be challenging when when some students like to learn in different areas of the room, some need blocks or tools to help them visualize concepts, and some need to work with the teacher in a small group. We are requesting classroom supplies that help solve these three problems.
By donating to our project, you will help us organize our room for all students to successfully achieve our math goals.
By having supplies organized and easy for students to access, all sixth graders will be able to find what they need for success! The dry erase clipboards will allow students to participate in high-quality math practice anywhere they can imagine. The organizational cart and storage boxes will help keep all our math supplies within reach. The dry erase easel will allow Mrs. Touponce to work with small groups and model concepts with ease.
