This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I serve students in a low economic area in Dallas, TX. Although we are in a low economic area, our school continues to hold an achieving rating. This is phenomenal! Aside from various setbacks including their home lives, they still come out on top when it comes to school and education . These children are nothing short of amazing and I am honored to be teaching them. Though various challenges may arise, the focus is education and learning at all times!
My Project
All of my students love the library and they love an organized library. Reading is a key part of first grade and I want to ensure my students have an organized library. I teach in a low economic area and a lot of students crave organization and structure. These bins in our classroom library will ensure they have just that! These bins will also be used to organize various items throughout the classroom. I want my classroom to be as easily accessible and these bins will ensure this happens. We all know structure and organization is a vital part of any classroom.
