Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I'm asking for help getting my classroom organized and decorated for the upcoming year. At the beginning of the 23-24 school year, I was only given a week in my classroom before the year began and had little funds and time to put into preparing. I believe students learn best in a warm, welcoming environment that is clean and organized.
I want my classroom to be a room where each student looks forward to coming to, day in and day out.
Let's be honest, school doesn't always rank high on the list of a student's "favorite places to be" list. However, I feel like a classroom that is inviting and fun will help. Having a student get excited to come to my class, then opens up their minds to better receive the lessons that I'm trying to pass along.
Second, I think every teacher can agree that organization is an important key to classroom success. Through organizational boxes, a storage cabinet, bins, and additional items, students will be able to get items they need for our day to day lessons and projects without having to ask me for items. This allows my students to be more self sufficient and gives me more time helping students instead of hunting down items.
