This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a lower income school where the children who enjoy to learn and are happy with the opportunities that they are given. I have 82 children on my roster for the fourth grade. The children are part of a new program that we are going try for the second time. The children get to learn through exploration. The STEM program encourages the children to learn the way the they learn and that is okay to do so. Thank you.

My Project

The tumbling compost machine will be used compost plants into reusable soil for the garden beds that have here at school and also allows the children to see the whole process that a plant goes through in order to make it to the shelves in the grocery store. This leads me into the need for the shingles.

The shingles are needed for the roof of the chicken coop.

We have a coop in the back of the school within the fenced garden area and with the recent rains we've gotten some damage to the wooden part of the roof. Having these shingles will help protect the wooden part of the lid from further damage.

The last thing that I am asking for is learning target, these are topic and do for all of the lessons that I teach in class. They are large enough for the whole class to see and clear for them to be able to copy them into their daily journals.
