My Project
One of the best ways for students to visualize anatomy is through 2D and 3D models that they make. This project will provide the materials they need to create models of various organs. Once students create organs, they can link their models to form the organ system.
Integrating art into science helps students remember concepts and vocabulary.
My students frequently make models but we are low on some supplies. Our pencil and colored pencil stash needs re-stocking. Students create pencil drawings first in case of errors and then bring them to life with the colored pencils. The pencil sharpener will keep these pencils sharp. Some students have requested paint for their models. The fractional bureau scales are perfect for helping students keep their organ models to scale. Silicone mats help to keep any messes easily cleaned. The cubby shelving unit will keep models in progress as they do not fit on our drying rack.
