My Project
In Oregon, there is a competition called OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Books) students work in teams of 5 to read the list of 16 competition books for the year. Then they battle against other teams answering content questions about the books. This last year I had WAY more students wanting to participate than I had books to give. So this coming year I want to be ahead of the game by starting now to fund books for my competitive teams. Our library also doesn't have any of these books to help support our kiddos.
In our school having our kids interested in reading and wanting to do extra is a huge deal and I want to help support it by having enough books.
The batteries are for our timers because teams only have 15 seconds to answer the questions once they have been asked. So I have a timer per team so they can practice when they are not working with me.
