My Students

My students are 3 and 4 years old. They are very energetic and full of life. My children come with developmental delays which places them in a critical learning stage. Most of them have communication delays and cognition delays which means they come to my class unable to communicate with me and each other. Some of my students also have motor delays along with social delays. I also have students in wheelchairs which inhibits them from some activities due to not being able to stand and students that have immune disorders that cause them to miss school or have to stay further away from other students.

My Project

Students will be able to have dramatic play in a restaurant. They will be able to take food orders, fill those orders and serve their customers in their own restaurant. Students will get to name their restaurant and learn about money and different kinds of foods from other countries. Students who are customers will learn proper etiquette in a restaurant and learn how to tip their waiters or waitress. Students will learn how to be healthy when eating out and how to keep their restaurant clean so their patrons can stay healthy. Students will also learn new vocabulary words.
