This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the opportunity to work with great students every day. My students encounter several trials and tribulations. Some of the challenges my students face are financial and several students are faced with growing up in foster care or single-family homes. All in all, my students do not make excuses and show up on most days with an enthusiastic attitude and eagerness to work.

There is a saying, "Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day.

Teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime." Please help me prepare my students to fish by providing us with important vehicles to navigate these choppy waters while we fish.

My Project

Please consider donating to help my students get access to additional basketballs. We were able to get roughly 10 basketballs over the last year and a half which is great. Ideally, we would obtain another 10 to 15 basketballs to ensure we have basketballs in both gyms. Having basketballs in both our gyms is a luxury but also cuts down on transportation of the basketballs through the dirty parking lots and sidewalks. Having indoor basketballs exposed to the outdoor elements ages the basketball and cuts down on the life of the basketball.
