Orchestra Musicians Need Musical Microphone

My students need a microphone for rehearsals and performances for our soloists and featured ensembles to be audible to the audience.

My Students

Our students love music. They are passionate about music and music-making. Music is what keeps them motivated to come to school. They excel in music, despite our school being situated in the midst of five federal housing projects.

Most, if not all, of our students come from homes of highest poverty.

Our school has a 70% highly disadvantaged rate.

Beautiful music comes out of our orchestra room. Our students play with great passion. Music is what they excel at. Our students would never have been able to play in an orchestra were it not for the school orchestra program.

My Project

A microphone will help our student soloists and small ensemble performers to be audible to the audience during performances and rehearsals. Our students practice and work really hard. We would like to have that hard work pay off at the performances by allowing our featured soloists and small ensembles to be heard clearly.

The technological use of a microphone in rehearsals and performances will enable our orchestra soloists and small ensembles to incorporate technology into the classroom.

The microphone will help to project the sound of the performances as well as record to capture the moment. The microphone will greatly enhance our performances as well as teach students to incorporate technology into their musical experiences.
