My students need book bins to organize and provide easy access to picture books.

My Students
Students in my classroom are military dependents and local residents of a large town in Hawaii. Our school is a Title I school which means we have a high percentage of students from low-income families. Furthermore, our school has a transient population due to the students with parents in the military.
My students are fun loving preschool-aged, special education students.
Students have different disabilities such as autism, speech delay, and developmental delay but they are eager, bright, and love to learn about everything! I hope to make their first experiences in school fun and engaging!
My Project
For students to be life long readers, they need to have access to a variety of books. Our classroom has a good variety of books but they are not accessible to students. Currently, the books in the classroom are organized in different cubbies without a container or basket so the books lay flat. The book organizers will organize books in a way where they stand up so that students can see book covers. This will allow them to flip through our various books more freely and easily. Increasing their access to our classroom books will definitely increase students literacy skills.
