This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have selected a table, chairs and games to give my students opportunities to work with each other and practice English language skills. The kidney shaped table and chairs will help my students learn during small group instruction by giving them additional support when working with the teacher in a small area. The table is adjustable and will used with students of various ages. Games are a way to have fun while learning.

My elementary school serves a multicultural community in an urban neighbourhood of Worcester, MA.

My students include kindergarten, first grade and second grade. Most of my students are new to our country and are eager to learn. My classroom is small and does not have a table to use for small group instruction. I want my students to be comfortable and get the guided attention they require during any lesson I am teaching them. My students will be able to share the ESL games with other each other, while I work in small group instruction.
