My Students
Our school is located in the heart of Waikiki and my students come to school from diverse backgrounds with a variety of cultural life experiences. I have 4 EL students, 2 special education students, and more than 50% of my class receive free or reduced lunch. They are all excited to be back in school and are eager to learn with their friends.
My Project
My 22 first graders are a vibrant group of kids who are creative and love to make things with their hands.
The art and craft supplies will help my students make holiday crafts to decorate our room and to make gifts for their families. They will use the construction paper to make a snowman, Santa, reindeer, and a Christmas tree. I will take individual pictures of my students and use the foam frames to display them. Then they can use the foam stickers and shiny gems to decorate their Christmas gift to parents.
