My Project
As an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher, I strive to create a classroom that fosters independence, responsibility, and a love for reading. A big challenge in my classroom is keeping materials organized in a way that is accessible and functional for all students.
In previous school years, student books and binders have been placed on a small bookcase that is insufficient for our needs, with materials often crashing to the floor, making it difficult for students to access what they need efficiently.
Additionally, our classroom library is stored in worn-out bins, preventing students from finding their next good read!
With your support, I hope to provide the following:
1. Sturdy bookshelves for student textbooks and binders, giving students a clear, reliable place to store and access their materials.
2. Durable book crates for our classroom library, helping to protect our books and display them in a way that invites students to explore new titles.
An organized classroom helps students focus, take ownership of their learning, and spend more time reading, writing, and discussing ideas--and less time searching for and picking up supplies. These additions will make a big impact on the day-to-day experience in our classroom.
